MiSTEM Network's ongoing efforts to enhance STEM education across Michigan
Participating educators will receive a $150/day stipend and SCECHs!
To be eligible for the stipend and SCECH, partipants must:
Actively engage in all camp activities
Complete a post-program survey
Submit an Educator Externship Final Reflection & Integration Plan
At the heart of our mission is the desire to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world applications by connecting teachers with careers, essential skills, community partners, a nd training providers. By immersing educators in paid externships within STEM fields, our aim is to provide them with firsthand experiences that will empower them to inspire the next generation of innovators.
Key Objectives:
Foster enduring partnerships between businesses, community partners, and local schools.
Align the Teacher Extern experience with STEM content and Michigan's 21st-century skills.
Provide students with authentic insights into potential careers available in Northeast Michigan.
Empower teachers with real-world applications to enhance classroom instructions.
