Interested in a career as a veterinarian or working with animals? Spend the day at a real veterinary clinic helping Dr. Ima Stumped solve two patient cases! You'll take on the role of a junior vet as you examine symptoms, suggest diagnostic tests, interpret results, and recommend treatment plans.
Meet our furry "patients" for the day: Tinkle Toes, a golden-mix dog with urinary problems, and I-lean, a rescued kitten with a limp and a mystery belly.
Campers will get hands-on experience used veterinary tools like stethoscopes, microscopes, and ultrasound (on a simulated bladder), view real x-rays and lab results, and tour a surgical suite. You'll also practice bandaging, splinting, and even try suturing techniques on your own stuffed animal patient (bring one from home!).
This one-day camp offers a fun, behind-the-scenes look at the world of veterinary medicine and the wide range of careers in animal care--from vet tech to radiology to surgery. It's perfect for animal lovers who are curious about future career possibilities!
Safety Clothing Requirements: students must wear long pants, closed-toe shoes.
