For COP ESD students entering grades


Join us for the high school beginner welding camp. Students will engage in hands-on training and immersive technical exercises in fillet welding, with an introduction to flat groove welding, gas metal arc welding or flux core arc welding, and plasma cutting. This is a unique chance for students to earn an American Welding Society (AWS) D1.1 Welder Procedure Qualification Record. This dynamic experience will ignite students' passion for exploring fulfilling careers in the welding and metal fabrication industry. Don't miss out on this thrilling opportunity!


  • This class is for students who have NOT taken a high school welding class.

  • Explore the exciting and rewarding careers available in the Welding and Metal Fabricating Industry.

  • Safety Clothing Requirements: Long-sleeved cotton shirts, jeans that can be worn over the boots (no rips or frays), high cotton socks, and leather steel-toed work boots are required.
